Coastal Table & Tales is not your average bookstore. Located in Savannah’s scenic historic district, this cozy shop is part independent bookseller, part demo kitchen, and deserves a spot on any food-lover’s itinerary.
Owner Dawn Anderson opened the store in late 2025, and has hosted dozens of hands-on cooking classes, tastings, cookbook clubs and conversations with leading chefs, authors, and culinary experts from around the world. Her global perspective is shaped by her extensive international travels and decades spent living abroad while working on diplomatic initiatives alongside her husband.
Upcoming events include chocolate sommelier Kaysee Hill, a cookbook-writing workshop with Pinafore Press and a Bake the Book Club gathering. Coastal Tables & Tales is also celebrating its first anniversary from November 20 to 22 with pop-ups, birthday cake and discounts for holiday shopping.
In addition to these events, the shop is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by to browse trending cookbooks, food-centric memoirs and other titles.
