Marianella Orlando is a Content Director in the Content Innovation Lab covering travel, lifestyle and outdoor recreation for McClatchy. She graduated with a BA in English/Professional Writing from Kutztown University and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University, and she joined McClatchy in 2026. She has 11 years of experience in journalism.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Marianella currently lives in the Pennsylvania suburbs with her husband, son and dog. When she’s not cooking meals her toddler may or may not eat, she’s exploring local coffee shops and farms or finding the next excuse to fill up the family social calendar.
